Cloverdale

by Monika Gal

If you like a small town setting, closer to farms and nature, Cloverdale is the ideal place to live in. This is where Surrey started in the 1800’s, it was the original centre of Surrey.
Its main street is one of the most recognizable historic streets with a western vibe.
Many specialty stores, pubs, restaurants here to choose from. You can also find the Museum of Surrey, Surrey Archives, and many unique heritage buildings here.

Cloverdale is also a a busy commercial centre because of its closeness to highways and connections to the railway.

There has been significant development in the Town Centre and Clayton Heights areas. There are smaller apartment buildings and townhouse complexes to support the population growth. It is estimated that the there will be around 121,000 people living in the area by 2050. There will be 3 new stations here for the approved SkyTrain expansion. That way commute will be easy to Surrey and Langley.
